Program Overview and Target Audience
The joint providers of Medical Education Resources (MER), Gastroenterology and Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers (GHAPP), the Chronic Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF), and the Global NASH Council (GNC) present Navigating New Horizons: Evolution of MASH Care. This live activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) who are currently managing and treating patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH).
Educational Objectives

Assess the epidemiology of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH).

Discuss the assessment of the individual who has MASLD/MASH, from inflammation to fibrosis and extra-hepatic comorbidities.

Understand current best practices for managing the patient with MASLD/MASH.
Accreditation Statement
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Medical Education Resources, Gastroenterology and Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers, the Chronic Liver Disease Foundation, and the Global NASH Council. MER is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Physician Assistant Credit
Medical Education Resources has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 1.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credit. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
Nurse Credit
Medical Education Resources designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.00 ANCC nursing contact hour. Nurses will be awarded contact hours upon successful completion of the activity.
